Visiting Professor

Summary

Join Chamberlain College of Nursing as a Part-Time Online Visiting Professor to teach in our MSN program. This 100% online position offers flexibility and allows you to share your expertise with aspiring nurses. We seek candidates with a strong background in primary adult care, certified as an FNP by AANP or ANCC, and holding a DNP, PhD, EdD, or other relevant doctoral degree. A current unencumbered Compact RN license is highly preferred, or willingness to obtain an Illinois license by May 2025. Thorough training is provided through our New Faculty Orientation. Compensation ranges from $715 to $1950 per earned credit hour, depending on education and experience.

Requirements

• Must be certified as FNP by AANP or ANCC and have clinical experience as FNP with a strong background in primary adult care
• Must have DNP or PhD or EdD or other relevant doctoral degree
• Must at least have a temporary Illinois RN License or willing to obtain one before May 2025
• Concrete background in Internal Medicine
• Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
• Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), WebEx/Teams (or similar platform) and Internet with a strong emphasis on Excel will use up to 4 interfaces: Canvas, Camsoft, iHuman, Metrics

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience
