Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on cloud architecture and VMware technologies
- Proven experience in designing and delivering cloud solutions in enterprise environments
- Deep knowledge of VMware products (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vRealize, etc.) and their use in cloud and hybrid cloud architectures
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their business requirements, challenges, and goals related to cloud infrastructure
- Provide strategic advisory services, helping clients define their cloud strategy, architecture, and roadmap, particularly in the context of VMware technologies
- Conduct cloud assessments, evaluating existing IT environments, identifying gaps, and recommending tailored solutions
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud best practices, hybrid cloud architectures, and multi-cloud strategies
- Lead the design and architecture of cloud infrastructure solutions using VMware and adjacent technologies (NSX, vSphere, vSAN, vRealize, etc.)
- Develop high-level and detailed design documents, including infrastructure diagrams, configuration guidelines, and technical specifications
- Provide technical leadership on cloud migration projects, designing solutions for workload migrations, disaster recovery, and application modernization
- Ensure solutions align with industry best practices, security frameworks, and regulatory compliance
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and optimization of cloud environments, ensuring seamless implementation and integration of VMware products
- Lead technical delivery teams in executing complex cloud solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet customer expectations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network, security, and operations to deliver comprehensive cloud solutions
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for client cloud environments, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability
- Act as a trusted advisor to key client stakeholders, building long-term relationships and providing ongoing technical consultancy
- Present solution designs, project plans, and progress updates to senior client stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Work closely with sales and pre-sales teams to support business development efforts, including creating proposals and responding to RFPs
- Keep up to date with the latest trends in cloud computing, virtualization, and cloud-native technologies, ensuring continuous professional development
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), or relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)
