VoIP Performance Testing Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a VoIP Performance Testing Engineer and significantly contribute to automating processes for assessing real-time communication systems. You will work to remove performance bottlenecks, improve system reliability, and contribute to continuous delivery and observability. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, evaluate existing technologies, and promote process improvements. Shape standards and best practices while providing expert guidance. This role is fundamental in driving performance assessment and improvements of the system. The position is full-time and remote, located in Brazil.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software developer (ex. Python, Scripting, JS, Java, Ruby, Go)
• Strong experience with testing (manual and automation)
• Strong experience with Load and Performance Tests
• Experience with manually testing Web and API technologies
• Experience working with test management
• Experience creating, maintaining, and working with test automation tools and frameworks
• Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools (e.x., SIPp, JMeter, Gatling, k6)
• Experience with testing and delivering SaaS products
• Able to connect best practices with the daily activities

Responsibilities

• Create custom tools and frameworks to support test automation, using modern development and test automation frameworks as needed
• Feel comfortable architecting strategic solutions for overall testing efforts
• Ability to identify the best framework for the task at hand
• Plan and create the overall quality technical architecture
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Work knowledge in VoIP Systems and VoIP Protocols (ex. SIP, RTP, TURN, STUN)
• Experience with Real-Time communication systems
• Experience with automation frameworks/tools
• Experience with Database scripting
• Knowledge in CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge in Data analysis
