Summary

Join Anaplan's AI Engineering team as a leader, defining and driving the company's AI strategy across its platform. Lead and develop global engineering teams, fostering a servant leadership culture. Solve complex customer and system-level problems at enterprise scale for this scaled SaaS company with over $1B in ARR. This role reports directly into senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience developing engineering and product teams within a global enterprise
  • Successfully managed engineering teams across nearly every continent
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership — from CTOs to peers across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success
  • Skilled at prioritizing work to maximize impact — with a focus on doing more with less
  • Proven ability to balance short-term fixes with long-term system health — addressing technical debt proactively
  • Strong mathematical and systems background — particularly with complex, in-memory array models that recalculate trillions of cells in sub-seconds
  • Deep experience with performance engineering — raising the bar on what “good enough” means
  • A track record of teams and peers who speak to your leadership and impact with pride

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive Anaplan’s AI strategy across the entire platform
  • Lead and develop global engineering teams, providing the tools and support they need to succeed
  • Foster a servant leadership culture — leading by asking, not telling
  • Guide the team through challenges while maintaining a positive and constructive approach
  • Build measurement-driven processes that support innovation and velocity
  • Embrace failure as a path to growth — creating an environment where learning from missteps is part of the process
  • Apply Agile principles to deliver results quickly and iteratively
  • Solve complex customer and system-level problems that no one else is addressing

  • Agile mindset with a deep belief in the 12 principles of Agile
  • Servant leadership style centred on team empowerment and accountability
  • Data-driven approach to leadership — making decisions based on measurement and facts
  • A natural ability to maintain positivity under pressure and turn challenges into opportunities
