Requirements

• Be a highly self-motivated and results-oriented team player
• Have 10+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles such as CTO, Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, or similar in a product company
• Have experience leading diverse teams of similar size (70+) and scaling the company effectively
• Have a proven track record of aligning technical strategies with product and business goals
• Have a deep understanding of software development processes, including frontend and backend development, software testing, and DevOps
• Have a deep understanding of the principles of building a reliable architecture
• Have strong knowledge of software architecture principles and OOP, SOLID, and Design Patterns
• Have a good understanding of cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS or Azure
• Have exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have experience in leading remote engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Have an advanced level of English

Responsibilities

• Drive the engineering department’s strategic vision and execution in alignment with company goals
• Oversee functional leads (Head of Development, Head of QA, Head of DevOps, Head of Agile, and Head of Delivery) and the engineering department of about 70 people
• Build and scale an engineering company that fosters innovation, collaboration, and high performance
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, scalable software solutions and product’s technical excellence
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration between engineering, product, and other business units
• Strengthen and develop a culture of cooperation, openness, and trust
• Hire, mentor, and manage performance across all engineering teams
• Support the professional growth of a strong management team, including the Heads of Development, QA, DevOps, Agile, and Delivery
• Lead SAFe's transformation processes
• Define and monitor team performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
• Drive the long-term roadmap for technical architecture, infrastructure, and platform scalability
• Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to the CEO and executive leadership
• Collaborate with the VP of Product to align technical and product strategies
• Oversee the technical architecture and infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security
• Oversee the technical strategy implementation
• Build an environment where teams collaborate effectively, share knowledge openly, and celebrate successes together

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
• Be fluent in Russian
