Summary
Join Experian North America as the VP of Finance for the Financial Services & Data (FSD) business, a key leadership role responsible for delivering results across the full P&L. You will guide strategic planning, oversee financial budgets and forecasts, drive financial analysis, build a high-performing finance team, support M&A activities, and ensure sound legal practices and fiduciary responsibility. This role offers an opportunity to lead FP&A and Technology finance for one of Experian's largest business units, with significant market opportunity and investments in new strategic initiatives and technology transformation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive management and leadership experience in finance with proven ability to develop talent
- Proficient knowledge of accounting and finance with the ability to perform complex financial analysis. This includes general knowledge of GAAP and IFRS and the ability to practically apply these principles when formulating sound judgment in both accounting and financial reporting
- Experience providing insights to a business operating on the Cloud
- Demonstrated performance in partnering finance with operations in driving gains in business performance, revenues, market share and profitability
- Comfortable working within a functional and global business matrixed organization
- Proven success in developing and executing business strategies resulting in measurable business results
- Experience analyzing market opportunities, behaviors and the competitive landscape to identify the levers to address opportunities and product risks
- Progressive experience in financial analysis, management reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting and project management
- Demonstrated ability to build teams, lead people and get results through others
- Prior experience participating as a member of leadership during M&A activities including contributing to identification, due diligence and integration workflows
Responsibilities
- Key advisor to the EVP of the NA Data Office, Ops & Governance, the EVP of FSD Product Marketing, the EVP/CTO of FSD and SVP of Business Ventures & Partnerships β accountable for delivering financial performance against annual targets and collaborating across business units to optimize performance
- Guide and facilitate our corporate Strategic Planning Process and be a critical voice in charting strategic focus
- Oversee the development, preparation, and presentation of both short and long-range financial budgets and forecasts
- Drive the financial analysis process with full comprehension of key performance indicators (KPI's), operating trends and performance assessment
- Support executives in analyzing and diagnosing KPI's and productivity metrics to improve their operational results over time
- Build and develop a high functioning finance organization, establish and constantly improve business processes to support the strategic direction for a multi-product organization
- Establish effective relationships across BU in NA and with global finance
- Support and facilitate M&A activities as an important component of growth, ensuring financial models reflect appropriate risk and return
- Help lead incentive system design and management, partnering with HR, Sales and BU leadership
- Manage the FSD capital planning and investment process
- Ensure that appropriate systems, policies, budgets and control procedures are in place to support sound legal practices and the independent fiduciary responsibility that Finance represents
- Develop an understanding of our business, including its risks, opportunities and competitive environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience automating processes and applying advanced technology applications within finance, such as RPA and Tableau, preferred
- Bachelor's degree. MBA, CPA, or relevant Master's Degree preferred
