Join Appcues as our strategic and hands-on VP of Finance & Operations! Lead our finance and operations team, enhancing financial planning, forecasting, business intelligence, revenue operations, and operational finance. You will build and scale forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling capabilities. Partner with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven insights and ensure effective goal setting and measurement. Drive a high-velocity GTM strategy and integrate revenue operations and broader business operations. Define and execute a company-wide operational roadmap, upholding financial controls and compliance. This high-impact role requires strong leadership and communication skills, partnering closely with the CEO and executive team.
Requirements
- Proven track record in senior finance leadership roles at high-growth SaaS or technology companies specifically in going from $20-100m in ARR
- Expertise in FP&A, forecasting, BI, operational finance, revenue operations, and business operations—with a strong grasp of SaaS metrics and growth levers
- Experience driving cross-functional operational roadmaps and aligning systems and processes to improve business outcomes
- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, and compliance
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach—able to dive into details while driving high-level initiatives
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
Responsibilities
- Build and scale our forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling capabilities to drive strategic decision-making
- Partner with teams across the business to develop data-driven insights that inform growth and efficiency
- Be a partner to product, engineering, and GTM teams to help them set and measure goals effectively and ensure the business has a strong spend to outcomes cadences to ensure our hard earned gross margin dollars are being invested in the right areas
- Ensuring our marketing, sales, and customer journey processes are fluid, integration and measurable. Partnering with our VP of marketing, VP of Sales and CX and CEO to drive a high velocity GTM strategy and leading a director of operations
- Lead and integrate revenue operations and broader business operations to ensure systems and processes are connected, efficient, and driving productivity
- Define and execute a company-wide operational roadmap, aligning teams, systems, and workflows to support business objectives
- Uphold rigorous financial controls, compliance, and corporate secretarial responsibilities as the company continues to expand
- Act as a key partner to the CEO and executive team, ensuring financial and operational strategy aligns with business goals. Serve as a board observer, providing insights and guidance
- Leading our Director of finance, Director of rev ops, BI, teams with transparent, clear and concise goals and a cadence of coaching that enables everyone on the team to be at their best
