Summary

Join SmartBug Media as their Vice President of Finance, a fully remote position leading a global finance and accounting team of 8 professionals. You will oversee all financial and accounting aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role requires a bachelor's degree and 10-15 years of accounting/finance experience, including public accounting and audit experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a CPA and experience with foreign exchange. SmartBug Media offers a competitive salary ($180,000 - $225,000 annually) and a flexible work environment.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree and 10-15 years of accounting/finance experience
• Must have experience leading an audit
• Must have strong GAAP foundation
• Must have strong excel skills
• Must have excellent communication skills across all levels of staff and with external stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial and accounting aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support our growth objectives
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to regulatory bodies and stakeholders
• Prepare for, and manage the annual audit process
• Oversee the monthly financial close process
• Maintain the Company’s capitalization table
• Lead on FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, and investor relations
• Maintain, develop and implement internal controls and risk management strategies
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA
• Experience with foreign exchange
