Summary
Join Active Minds as their Vice President, Measurement, a strategic and operational role responsible for the vision, direction, and mission of program impact measurement. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, you will lead cross-functional projects, advise on organizational strategy, represent Active Minds externally, manage the Measurement Team, and oversee budgetary responsibilities. This leadership position requires expertise in measurement and evaluation, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team. Responsibilities
- Lead all efforts to measure and better understand the impact of our work and pursue continuous improvement, in alignment with the Strategic Plan
- Help ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, centering measurement and equity, in service of Active Mindsโ Theory of Change and Key Performance Indicators
- Provide organization-wide leadership for Active Mindsโ commitment internally and externally to center measurement and impact in all that we do and developing strategic initiatives that contribute to the success of all staff and volunteers and to Active Mindsโ engagement of the diverse populations we serve
- Act as a resource to Active Minds staff on updated data, research, or methods that can enhance the effectiveness of our work
- Support equity-informed data and evaluation of Active Minds programs, initiatives, and outputs
- Work with other Leadership Team members to develop systems to ensure consistent, high-quality project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Develop the necessary systems, processes, and tools to better support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of knowledge that is generated by the Measurement Team
- Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team to integrate cross-departmental activities and functions
- Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performing team members, enabling them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance
- Provide leadership in development of inter-team communication and cohesion, sustaining culture and supporting staff during organizational growth
- Serve as a thought partner for the Chief Program Officer and other VPs in strategic positioning and framing of the organization within the field-at-large
- Deliver presentations, in-person and virtual trainings, issue briefs, position statements and other written materials, and represent the organization at key national conferences and meetings, to leverage opportunities for enhanced leadership and growth within the field
- Support dissemination of organizational learning with a broad range of communities
- Manage relationships with partner organizations
- Demonstrate consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve measurement goals
- Expand revenue to support existing measurement activities and goals and future growth; cultivate existing relationships and develop new funder relationships
