Summary

Red Canary is seeking an experienced Product Executive to lead critical new product initiatives in a 'startup within a startup' model. The candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end success across Product, Go-To-Market (GTM) and 24x7 services teams for a net new offering. This role requires 8+ years of experience in product leadership, particularly including hands-on product management, experience in a B2B growth stage startup, experience leading matrixed teams, and understanding of the security market.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product leadership; particularly including hands-on product management
  • Experience in a B2B, growth stage startup
  • Experience leading matrixed teams
  • Experience building products on top of 3rd party technology
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendor relationships
  • Understanding of the security market in general, and specifically in the area of threat detection and response

Responsibilities

  • Oversee critical new product initiatives in a 'startup within a startup' model
  • Drive end-to-end success across Product, Go-To-Market (GTM) and 24x7 services teams for the first new product
  • Understand our business strategy for this new offering, and move quickly to build out early architecture and design decisions, incorporate customer feedback, and move toward adoption in order to iterate rapidly
  • Manage your roadmap: prioritize opportunities from a wide range of inputs, understand and prioritize the work so your team is working on the most impactful items
  • Provide executive leadership and oversight: program manage matrixed work streams across strategy, commercialization, alliances, GTM, and technical value
  • Provide commercialization stewardship: Oversee pricing and packaging of your product, select first customers, help sell the first deals
  • Provide technical stewardship: Translate large initiatives and problems into opportunities and actionable user stories through frequent interaction with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Constantly evaluate if your product is meeting the needs of your customers, solving their problems, and delivering on the business opportunity. You use qualitative, quantitative, techniques with customer interviews and experimentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Capability to look beyond stated requirements and generate innovative solutions not immediately apparent
  • Strong communication of product decisions and the rationale behind them, comfortable making decisions without consensus, and can help others make decisions by being persuasive

Benefits

  • Compensation: $300,000 + bonus and equity
