Summary

Fundraise Up, a hyper-growing startup with around 250 teammates and plans to expand to 1,000 people, is seeking a VP of People to lead their HR, Recruiting, Training & Development, Compensation and Benefits, and Compliance functions. The role involves overseeing recruitment, implementing professional development programs, managing performance reviews, designing compensation plans, maintaining positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive organizational culture.

Requirements

  • Deeply gets both Eastern European & USA cultures. LATAM plus
  • Full ownership of all pillars of People: Hiring, HR, Training and Compensations
  • Certified in either SHRM-SCP or SPHR
  • No requirement for a US visa
  • Minimum of 15 years People experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably as VP of People
  • Experience managing a team of 15-50 members and previously held a VP position at a tech cloud startup with 200-600 headcount
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including sometimes after hours to sync with the US headquarters
  • Located in the CET timezone with availability to overlap with US working hours

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment process to ensure the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent
  • Implement programs for professional development, leadership training, and career progression to enhance employee skills and engagement
  • Design and manage performance review processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues
  • Develop competitive compensation and benefits plans to attract and retain employees
  • Maintain positive employee relations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a healthy work environment
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and can thrive
  • Align the organization’s structure, culture, and workforce with its strategic objectives
  • Ensure the organization complies with all local and country employment laws and regulations
  • Develop, implement and revise HR policies and procedures to meet the organization’s needs and comply with legal standards
  • Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction
