Summary

Join our team as a Workday Program Manager to play a central role in the final phases of a full-suite Workday implementation. Coordinate cross-functional delivery across HCM, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT, ensuring alignment and mitigating risks. Leverage your extensive Workday experience to guide program decisions, anticipate potential issues, and advise stakeholders. Lead weekly PMO meetings, facilitate internal syncs, and develop Steering Committee materials. Drive risk and issue resolution, holding the implementation partner accountable for timely and complete deliverables. Serve as a key advisor to the Project Director, proactively surfacing concerns and executing high-priority follow-ups. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension and is mostly remote with some travel.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing or supporting full-suite Workday implementations, including HCM, Payroll, and Finance
  • Deep familiarity with Workday methodology, sequencing, testing phases, and go-live planning
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional coordination, identify integration risks, and drive resolution
  • Proven track record of holding implementation partners accountable while maintaining positive relationships
  • Excellent meeting facilitation, slide development, and executive communication skills
  • Highly organized, independent, and action-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Delivery
  • Track deliverables, dependencies, and cross-workstream alignment across HCM, Finance, SCM, Payroll, and IT
  • Serve as the connective tissue between internal teams, external vendors, and project leadership
  • Ensure clarity around what’s happening, what’s coming next, and what’s at risk
  • Apply Workday Methodology with Judgment
  • Use prior Workday experience to guide program decisions, raise red flags early, and adapt plans as needed
  • Anticipate common gaps, missed deliverables, and sequencing issues — especially across functional boundaries
  • Help internal stakeholders make informed decisions using best practices from other implementations
  • Run Governance and Project Routines
  • Lead weekly PMO meetings with the Workday partner and internal teams
  • Facilitate internal Project Manager syncs and ad hoc meetings as needed
  • Develop Steering Committee materials and communicate risk, issue, and timeline updates with clarity
  • Drive Risk and Issue Resolution
  • Draft and manage SBARs and action plans for high-impact risks and unresolved issues
  • Escalate and drive resolution through cross-functional coordination and leadership engagement
  • Partner Oversight and Accountability
  • Act as a watchdog for implementation partner performance — ensuring deliverables, decisions, and documentation are timely and complete
  • Track open items and ensure nothing falls through the cracks heading into go-live
  • Support Project Leadership
  • Serve as a key advisor to the Project Director on Workday-specific concerns, program pacing, and issue prioritization
  • Execute high-priority follow-ups and surface emerging concerns proactively

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare experience a plus, but not required
