Summary

Join The New York Times as a Workday Security and Configuration Analyst and become part of a dedicated team focused on translating security requirements into Workday configurations. Partner with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Technology, to ensure Workday security. Manage user provisioning, roles, and permissions, while supporting system authentication and change management. Provide exceptional customer service and promptly respond to requests. This role requires a strong understanding of Workday security and configuration, as well as relevant regulatory rules. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to journalistic independence and the company's mission.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with a progressive organization including Workday Finance or HCM
  • 2+ years of experience researching, assessing, and resolving security and configuration issues
  • You are familiar with relevant regulatory rules including Sarbox, Global Data Protection Regulation and PCI Security Standards Council
  • Working knowledge of Workday's security configuration (Data domains, configuration migration and audit)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR/Finance/Technology on Workday related security requests, including system releases/upgrades, and configuration redesign
  • Provide end-to-end security support of Workday modules such as: Workday HCM, Finance, Adaptive, and Prism
  • Manage provisioning and assigning of roles and permissions within Workday, supporting system authentication, change management policies, and overall security and design configuration
  • Support the configuration teams' security needs, ensuring best practices are communicated, implemented, and documented
  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service to all customers and other internal and external contacts and respond promptly to email and ticket requests
  • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems
