Working Student Finance

Summary

Join FlixTrain as a Working Student Finance and contribute to the financial success of a fast-growing company. You will support monthly closings, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking, ensuring robust financial control. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment, working with tools like Excel, Adaptive Insights, Oracle, and PowerBI. You will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of FlixTrain by providing actionable insights through numbers, assisting with internal and external reporting, and supporting key business decisions with robust financial models and analysis.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program, majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling
• Strong Excel skills are non-negotiable (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Quantitative skillset with a strong understanding of numbers and financial data interpretation
• Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and proactive attitude

Responsibilities

• Supporting monthly closing and financial reporting activities
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Helping track and analyze key financial KPIs to monitor business performance
• Preparing presentations and financial models for internal stakeholders to drive data-driven insights
• Assisting with invoice processing, cost control, and maintaining internal financial documentation
• Collaborating closely with Accounting, Controlling, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship or working student experience in a similar financial role is highly preferred
• Fluent in English; German is a plus but not required
• Ability to create compelling presentations (PowerPoint); PowerBI skills are a plus
