Summary
Join CVRx, a healthcare pioneer, as an Account Manager in a remote position based in Richmond, VA or Charlottesville, VA. You will play a pivotal role combining market development expertise with technical support for CVRx technologies. This dynamic role blends strategic planning, educational support, and direct clinical engagement. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies to achieve patient implant and revenue goals, providing comprehensive clinical support, assisting investigators, and representing CVRx devices to healthcare professionals. You will also contribute to R&D through feedback and design training programs. This position requires a BS/University degree in health sciences or engineering, 5+ years of medical device industry experience, and experience with implantable Class III products for cardiology or cardiac surgery. The ideal candidate will possess additional skills and experience.
Requirements
- BS/University degree in health sciences or engineering, or a combination of experience and education may be considered
- 5 or more years of experience in medical device industry plus clinical experience with implantable medical devices
- Experience with implantable (Class III) products for cardiology or cardiac surgery therapeutic devices is required. Specific heart-failure experience will be prioritized
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with key customer groups and CVRx staff
- Ability to master concepts of a medical & surgical nature and that of active implantable medical device technology
- Independent, self-motivated, self-starter; entrepreneurial spirit

- Must be fully vaccinated against the Covid 19 virus, meet pre-screening requirements as well as any other site-specific credentialing requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve patient implant and revenue goals, driving the growth and success of CVRx technologies
- Maintain a deep understanding of complex physiological and technical principles related to CVRx therapies, positioning yourself as a go-to resource within the organization
- Provide comprehensive support for implants, follow-up procedures, and troubleshooting. Assist clinical trial personnel and CVRx employees with technical challenges, ensuring seamless operations
- Support clinical investigators by addressing technical inquiries and providing researched solutions, fostering strong collaborative relationships
- Present CVRx devices to leading cardiologists, hypertension specialists, and surgeons, ensuring they are well-informed about the clinical benefits and applications of the technology
- Offer on-call clinical support, including troubleshooting and delivering in-service education and training for physicians and hospital staff on CVRx devices and studies
- Provide valuable feedback from investigators to the R&D team, contributing to product enhancements and the development of new solutions
- Design and deliver training programs for clinical staff, ensuring that training objectives are met and that staff are proficient in CVRx technologies
- Aid the Clinical Research team in maintaining high-quality follow-up and data completeness for company studies, ensuring robust and reliable study outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred
- Healthcare experience is beneficial
- Solid understanding of neuromodulation
- Proven track record with clinical trial and technical training assignments
- Knowledge of device market with clear understanding of competitive devices, strategies, advantages/disadvantages as they relate to CVRx devices
- Experience working through medical device insurance approvals / pre-approvals process
- Ability to interact with R&D to represent customer perspective in order to provide input on product enhancements and new product development
