Summary
Join dLocal as an Account Manager and help drive business growth by building relationships with clients and prospects. Manage client accounts, understand their needs, and strategize to meet them. Identify and execute upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Build long-term strategic partnerships with global merchants and identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts. Maintain personal networks and participate in industry events to generate interest from potential clients. Help the sales team as a regional expert and contribute to operational strategies and processes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of sales experience—ideally in a tech company—as an Account Manager or in Business Development, with a strong track record of performance and a strong business network
- Collaborative team player with leadership skills, proven cross-functional experience
- Strategic risk-taker with deep customer insight
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including C-level
- Skilled negotiator and deal closer with strong presentation and listening abilities
- Curious, positive, and market-savvy
- Flexibility and proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Fluent in English
- Availability for international travel
Responsibilities
- Identifying opportunities to secure new business by establishing relationships with clients and prospects
- Managing a variety of client accounts; understanding client needs and strategizing with team members to meet those needs
- Identifying and executing upselling and cross-selling opportunities by recommending additional products that align with client needs, maximizing value for both the customer and the company
- Building and developing long-term strategic partnerships with global merchants
- Identifying new sales opportunities within existing accounts to broaden the scope of services offered to existing clients
- Maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, attending conferences and industry events, and developing other means of generating interest from potential clients
- Helping our sales team as a regional expert
- Helping us structure, implement, and manage growth-related operational strategies and processes
Preferred Qualifications
A background in payments or financial systems is a plus
