Accountant

Summary

Join our client, a financial intelligence company, as a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accountant. This remote, full-time position requires experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and a strong understanding of accounting principles. You will perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensure accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, and assist in financial analysis. Collaboration with tax professionals and client communication are key aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least two years of relevant experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting
• Proven proficiency with QuickBooks or Xero
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and managing accounts payable/receivable
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Utilize accounting software and tools to maintain accurate financial records
• Communicate with clients to address their financial inquiries and provide support

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or actively pursuing certification
• Experience in SaaS or startup environments
• Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
• Knowledge of tax preparation and compliance
