As an Accountant, you will be responsible for processing payables and receivables, performing financial closings, managing day-to-day financial operations, assisting in financial performance analysis, and participating in the budgeting process. You will also establish new guidelines and processes and serve as the finance point of contact for all departments. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of accounting experience, strong accounting process understanding, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Suite. Excellent communication skills in French and English are essential.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Experience and understanding of accounting processes
• Familiarity with SME accounting software like Xero, QBO or Sage
• Good knowledge of financial reporting
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite (with emphasis on Excel skills)
• Good communication skills in French & English

Responsibilities

• Process payables and revenue gathering with oversight of taxes and regulations
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts and government remittances
• Main resource for all day-to-day financial operations involving internal employees, including expense reports, credit card management and benefits record keeping
• Assist in analytical review and investigation of monthly financial performance of Company
• Update of key reports and monitoring of treasury
• Participate in budgeting process with other departments
• Establish new guidelines and processes, with help in drafting and communicating to Company
• Finance point of contact for all departments

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge in data manipulation (SQL, PowerBI) is an asset
