As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and close processes, playing a crucial role in enhancing the company's accounting and financial operations. You will drive improvements in month-end and quarter-end close processes, support financial reporting, and work on high-impact technical projects across various accounting areas. Requirements
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of GAAP accounting policies and practices
- A self-starter that enjoys the process of learning; you are able to balance multiple priorities and will take accountability and ownership, be dedicated and resourceful and drive towards solutions with minimal direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
- You are humble, coachable and collaborative in cross-functional team settings
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills to maintain complex spreadsheets & perform complex functions (Vlookup, pivot tables, match, etc.)
- Solid understanding of accounting life cycle and all that it entails for startups, growing businesses and public companies to succeed
- Experience with a large-scale ERP (such as NetSuite)
Responsibilities
- Play an integral part of the accounting close and reporting process by assisting the team to implement an effective month-end and quarter-end close process
- Prepare month-end journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules (cash, accruals, other assets, allocations) on a timely basis
- Play an active role in process improvement projects including implementation of enhancements to our ERP systems and processes
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to help implement company policies and processes (i.e. vendor and expense processes)
- Engage in revenue operation including invoice creations, revenue recognition, collections and supporting our customer questions
- Review tax deadlines, set tax calendars, assist the team in compiling support for our tax consultants and address related questions
- Support our procurement process β manage vendor relationships, create purchase orders, make timely payments, and answer questions from vendors and employees
- Pay domestic and international employees in an accurately and timely manner
- Assist with special projects and accounting research as necessary
