Summary

The job is for a Consultant in Accounting Advisory at CFGI, where the employee will work as part of a team, gain exposure to various industries and projects, own projects from start to finish, and enjoy flexibility in work locations. The main responsibilities include preparing operational due diligence, accounting projects, integrating with client's internal staff, preparing financial and regulatory information, researching new accounting standards, and implementing process improvements.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree – ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA and/or MBA combined with solid accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in Accounting
  • Two to five years of experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting and/or finance
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with an ability to assimilate easily into teams
  • Strong technical skills and a working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of operational due diligence for complex transactions (i.e. – acquisitions and divestitures, stock offerings, debt raises, IPO’s)
  • Accounting projects focused on carving out business units/subsidiaries
  • Integration with client’s internal staff as a subject matter expert when it comes to operational senior accounting tasks or overall financial team support
  • Preparation of financial and regulatory information in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Research and document projects related to new accounting standards, process improvement, and implementations
  • Process improvement projects and implementation of changes
