Accounts Payable Manager

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee the accounts payable department, ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience

Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounts Payable Process
• Oversee the entire accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt to payment
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payments
• Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies for accounts payable functions
• Maintain and build relationships with vendors
• Resolve vendor and internal inquiries regarding account status, discrepancies, and issues
• Negotiate payment terms and manage cash flow effectively
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounts payable staff
• Evaluate team performance and provide ongoing feedback and development
• Allocate tasks and manage workflow within the team to ensure efficiency
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation and support
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Utilize technology to automate processes and reduce manual efforts
