Summary
Join SeatGeek as the Accounts Payable Supervisor and own the accounts payable function from start to finish. You will manage the invoice process, vendor relations, and 1099 reporting. Responsibilities include coaching the Accounts Payable Specialist, managing cash payments, assisting with audits, and preparing reports. You will also research and propose process improvements. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of accounting/finance experience, including 5+ years in accounts payable, and experience managing staff and high-volume transactions. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience managing staff and the entire accounts payable function
- Experience with procure to pay and ERP systems - Zip & NetSuite preferred
- Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Excellent communicator and strong intrapersonal skills
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing a high volume of transactions and payments
Responsibilities
- Own the full account payable process, including invoice processing and disbursements, vendor relations and Purchase Order (PO) maintenance within our request to purchase system
- Own the entire annual 1099 process
- Own the unclaimed property tracking and reporting process
- Coach and guide the Accounts Payable Specialist in execution of responsibilities
- Manage cash payments in accordance with payment terms and available cash balances; assist the finance team in monitoring our cash balances and compliance with covenants
- Assist in internal and external audits
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting for management
- Continuously research best practices and propose ideas to automate and improve existing processes and improve service delivery to internal & external stakeholders
- Review coding and process invoices accurately and timely in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Review input and maintenance of vendors in the accounts payable system
