Accounts Receivable Specialist

Summary

Join Tellent as an AR Specialist and play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the Finance teams in Amsterdam and Poland. You will report to the Financial Controller and contribute to a smooth month-end close, building scalable finance processes. Initially, you will focus on learning Tellent's operations and processes. After three months, you will take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, including client contract processing, invoice preparation, and payment reconciliation. Within a year, you will master accounting operations, implement process improvements, and take on financial projects. This role offers flexibility to work remotely in the Netherlands or from the Amsterdam office.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in accounts receivable team
• Very good command of the English language, verbal and written
• HBO in accounting, finance or business administration
• General accounting knowledge
• General knowledge of VAT topics
• Excel/Google Sheet proficiency

Responsibilities

• Handle the billing process - creation of contracts, invoice, credit notes via our subscription software system
• Reconciliation of customers’ accounts and payments allocation
• Ensure customer payments are received on time
• Be the first point of contact for our clients in finance related matters
• Perform month close journal entries and accounts reconciliation
• Support yearly audit and preparation of financial reports
• Identify and implement controls, processes and system improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Dutch and/or French
• Tax knowledge
• Netsuite experience
