Summary

Join Deel, a rapidly growing SaaS company, as an Analytics Engineer and contribute to building and maintaining a scalable data infrastructure. You will be responsible for migrating analytics pipelines, developing data models, and collaborating with various teams. This role involves creating foundational data models, establishing analytics engineering best practices, and driving the adoption of new technologies. You will also focus on data observability, documentation, and ensuring data quality and reliability. The position reports to the Connectivity & Deel IT Analytics Manager and offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic and innovative company.

Requirements

  • Expert in SQL (ideally 2+ years), dbt (ideally 1+ year)
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java)
  • You’re a problem solver at heart, and find joy in complex challenges
  • Experience with version control technology
  • Experience in creating and maintaining high volume data models
  • Experience designing and implementing a data warehouse, with modern BI architecture
  • Excellent communication skills
  • You’re a team player, making everyone around you better

Responsibilities

  • Build and own foundational data models that serve many downstream applications
  • Create and develop analytics engineering best practices to ensure we generate high-quality, maintainable, and scalable data models and products
  • Drive intelligent choices for the adoption of new technologies based on your extensive experience
  • Drive progress on our data observability practices, influencing upstream data quality, and ensuring downstream reliability in metrics
  • Create robust documentation to drive awareness and standardize analytics terminology

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math or related field is a plus
