Appian Developer

Summary

Join our team as a Remote Appian Developer and play a key role in designing, configuring, and implementing complex Appian functionalities. You will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing and remediation, adhering to best practices. Responsibilities include data modeling, staying current with Appian features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This fully remote position requires strong Appian expertise, proven experience with various methodologies, and excellent communication skills. U.S. citizenship is required. Occasional travel may be necessary.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required for Public Sector roles
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant industry experience
• Appian Senior Developer certification (or higher)
• Familiarity with Appian testing methodologies

Responsibilities

• Partner with product owners and business analysts to understand requirements
• Provide recommendations to ensure user stories meet quality and completeness standards
• Estimate effort and complexity for user stories and tasks during sprint planning
• Develop and configure Appian capabilities, data records/models, and functionalities
• Adhere to best practices and established design principles
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Appian applications and integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI and QA engineers, for seamless solutions
• Provide testing support by creating test cases and identifying testing needs
• Contribute to internal documentation and training materials
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to foster continuous learning
• Keep current with the latest Appian features, tools, and industry trends
• Identify opportunities for process optimizations and improvements in development practices
