Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
• Hold a License as an Architect
• Have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in residential architecture, with a focus on interior remodeling, additions, and renovations
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Possess extensive knowledge of wood-framed construction methods and materials
• Demonstrate the ability to handle complex renovations and design challenges
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of high-end residential projects, ensuring innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing solutions
• Develop design concepts, detailed plans, and 3D renderings to effectively communicate ideas to clients and stakeholders
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to address project requirements and constraints
• Produce and oversee design development (DD) and construction documentation (CD) for residential projects
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure designs align with structural, mechanical, and electrical requirements
• Address challenging renovation scenarios with creative problem-solving and technical expertise
• Design and detail wood-framed structures, from foundations to framing, with a deep understanding of construction practices and materials
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards related to wood-frame construction
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams throughout all project phases, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
• Manage client expectations and maintain clear communication to provide updates on project progress and challenges
• Use AutoCAD to create accurate and detailed architectural drawings and documents
• Incorporate building systems, materials, and innovative solutions into design and documentation processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess additional skills in rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, Revit, or similar)
• Be amenable to work on a night-shift schedule
