Requirements
- Hold a Bachelorβs degree in architecture or similar
- Come from an Architectural firm
- Be proficient in Revit with at least 3 years of experience documenting construction sets of drawings
- Have proven Australian experience in construction documentation and detailing across various project types, with a strong focus on multi-residential buildings using Revit
- Be capable of working effectively both autonomously and within a small team environment
- Follow instructions from the Project Architect and complete tasks comprehensively and in a timely manner
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Maintain high standards in delivery with a keen attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver innovative, functional, and commercially viable architectural solutions that enhance communities and redefine modern living
- Translate client visions into compelling designs, ensuring projects are both aesthetically striking and structurally sound
- Manage projects from concept to completion, handling town planning, council approvals, technical drawings, material selection, and construction oversight
- Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and clients to create sustainable and future-proof structures that align with regulatory requirements
- Push creative boundaries while maintaining a pragmatic, commercially aware approach, ensuring each project is not only visually compelling but also viable, buildable, and impactful
- Shape spaces that stand the test of time, integrating innovation with real-world functionality
- Be responsible for the comprehensive documentation process from initial concept sketches through to construction
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings including but not limited to plans, elevations, sections, schedules, stair details and construction details at varying scales
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to ensure accurate documentation
- Translate design concepts into technical documentation
- Interpret and use surveys to gather data for documentation purposes
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and standards
- Review and revise documentation in response to feedback and markups
- Coordinate with contractors and construction teams to ensure accurate execution of designs
- Manage and maintain project documentation and records
Preferred Qualifications
- Have knowledge of Australian regulations, including BCA/NCC, Residential Code, and relevant legislation
- Be able to amend and update designs/documentation based on consultant feedback and reports
