Join SEGULA Technologies as an Architecture System Engineer and contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge electric drive unit systems. This 6-month interim contract (with potential extension) offers remote work with occasional short business trips. You will be responsible for requirements management, system architecture development, ensuring Automotive SPICE compliance, and collaborating with testing teams. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, strong Automotive SPICE expertise, and embedded systems knowledge. Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Automotive SPICE levels and processes
- Deep expertise in embedded systems, particularly for power electronics control systems
- Familiarity with languages such as C, C++, and VHDL/Verilog
- Experience with tools like MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and requirements tools like Jama, DOORS, or Polarion
- Understanding of automotive-specific norms and regulations (ISO 26262, ISO 21434)
- Exceptional technical writing and presentation skills with attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Specify, document, and maintain requirements for electric drive unit systems, including software and hardware components
- Design, document, and maintain the architecture for electric powertrains, ensuring alignment across domain teams and integration with system requirements
- Apply Automotive SPICE concepts to ensure adherence to requirements and architecture processes
- Define control algorithm requirements tailored to electric powertrain functionalities
- Develop requirements for CAN and LIN communication protocols, including UDS, DBCs, CDDs, DTCs, DIDs, OBD, and related objects
- Ensure all system requirements and architecture adhere to automotive norms and regulations, such as ISO 26262 and ISO 21434
- Work closely with testing teams to verify and validate systems in simulations and hardware prototypes
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the automotive sector, especially in electric vehicles, power electronics, or embedded systems
- Hands-on involvement in projects related to system requirements specification, architecture design, or functional safety (ISO 26262, ASPICE)
- Proven ability to work with software developers, hardware engineers, and project managers to refine system specifications and architectural designs
