Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience, including 2+ years leading creative teams
  • Art direction leadership experience across related industries
  • Experience with industry standard tools and file formatting (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Ability to define an attractive vision for the studio, brand, and games, with visual and technical understanding and asset creation. Must have an eye for graphical quality and knowledge of techniques to achieve visual targets
  • Eager ability to be involved as an Individual Contributor; being a part of executing the vision alongside delivering it
  • A portfolio that exhibits personal and project artistic accomplishments
  • Understanding of all art disciplines including concept, character, animation, environment, VFX, UI, lighting, shading, and rendering
  • Strong communication/listening, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • A desire to innovate and to go above and beyond in pursuit of excellence

Responsibilities

  • Create top-notch visual concepts that resonate with the target audience, for use across marketing channels, in-game live service drops, events, and much more
  • Lead the art direction and be the β€˜gatekeeper’ for all of our marketing materials
  • Drive and oversee the development of the brand and visual identity of the studio and our games, working closely with the brand-central creative team and outsource partners
  • Manage the full cycle marketing art production process for the game
  • Research and document competitive trends in gaming, marketing
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to coordinate the production and delivery of marketing materials for the game
  • Oversee and Execute Creative A/B Testing
  • Identify and recommend new tools and technologies to improve content production
  • Proactively track trends in design, user experience, and social media
  • Own deliverables and initiatives with acute attention to craft and detail
  • Constantly strive for better, more innovative solutions across creative channels
  • Hands-on creative development from concept to completion, when needed
  • Skillful at delivering constructive and detailed paint over direction and feedback

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Design/Agency/Advertising, Game Development or Sports
  • A passion for games and/or the sports world
  • Working knowledge or proficiency with 3D software such as C4D, Maya, Blender, etc
  • Proficiency with Motion Graphics
