Summary

The job is for an Art Director at Second Dinner, a remote studio working on a new game in partnership with a popular IP. The role involves defining the artistic vision, managing a team of senior artists, and collaborating with other discipline leaders to create a visually stunning mobile/console game.

Requirements

• Extensive experience art directing mega-popular video games
• Experience managing an art team and know when to get in there and when to grant autonomy
• Understand how mobile games and console games require different touches and can help us optimize for both

Responsibilities

• Own the artistic vision
• Get all the way in to create delightful art and help get it implemented
• Manage a small team of super-senior artists
• Focus the team to hit an inspiring artistic vision on every vector from UI to Animation and VFX
• Collaborate with our IP partner to make sure we build something unique yet authentic that fans of the IP will freaking adore
• Spin up and manage an art outsourcing pipeline
• Partner with other discipline leaders to weave super fun gameplay together with stunning visuals in a way that feels great
