Summary

Join Super Age as an Assistant Photo Editor and play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's visual narrative. You will source, edit, and curate high-end photography for our various platforms, collaborating closely with editorial and design teams. This part-time position (20-25 hours/week) requires 2+ years of experience in media or digital publishing, a keen eye for photography, and proficiency in Adobe Suite. You'll be responsible for maintaining an organized workflow, meeting deadlines, and contributing to brainstorming sessions. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, experience with stock agencies, and a passion for visual storytelling.

Requirements

• 2+ experience in a media or digital publishing brand
• A keen eye for great photography and the ability to articulate what makes it powerful
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with photography on a consumer-facing digital brand or vertical
• Thorough understanding of Adobe Suite, namely PS, LR, Ai
• Experience sourcing and editing a large volume of photographs within tight deadlines
• Experience working with stock agencies, such as Getty Images, iStock, and Adobe Stock
• Ability to juggle visuals for multiple projects at a time
• Experience working hand-in-hand with an editorial team for input and collaboration
• A passion for learning, knowledge-sharing, and the optimistic potential of the internet
• Intuitive understanding of social media platforms, and keen awareness for what makes content viral (images for social, articles, etc...)
• Honesty, enthusiasm, and indomitability

Responsibilities

• Source and review photos that complement written editorial content —newsletters, articles, quizzes, websites, and social media — across multiple platforms
• Edit photos to align with Super Age’s polished and aspirational visual guidelines, ensuring all imagery reflects our ethos of boldness, vitality, and elegance
• Collaborate with editorial and design teams to brainstorm and execute compelling visuals that elevate our storytelling
• Maintain an organized workflow for sourcing and editing images to meet editorial deadlines
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions to push the boundaries of what’s possible in visual storytelling and audience engagement
• Merge visual artistry and creativity with performance to curate experiences that engage our audience, improve key metrics, and drive revenue
• Collaborate with colleagues in design, brand, product, engineering, and other functions to improve and innovate our visual style
• Faithfully translate company mission, core values into everyday tasks and projects

Benefits

• $25 - $35 an hour
