Summary

Join our growing real estate development team as a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Property Manager! This remote, full-time position involves sourcing properties for infill construction using platforms like Zillow and Redfin, based on client criteria. You will communicate directly with clients, present opportunities, and create initial site plans. Responsibilities include zoning analysis, database management, and collaboration with the development team. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with real estate research experience and strong communication skills. Familiarity with various software and AI tools is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience searching properties and analysing development opportunities
  • Understanding of California real estate regulations and market trends, with the ability to interpret zoning laws, municipal codes, and land use documents
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Slack, Zillow, Redfin, and county assessor websites for research
  • Strong ability to analyse zoning codes, regulations, and property data with exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to present findings clearly to clients and internal teams
  • Experience using AI tools to automate and improve research and workflow processes

Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted property searches on platforms such as Zillow, Redfin, LoopNet, and MLS based on varying client requirements
  • Assess potential real estate opportunities and effectively communicate findings to clients and the development team
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, preparing preliminary site plans and feasibility summaries
  • Research zoning codes and regulations for various California markets to determine development feasibility
  • Build and maintain an organized, user-friendly database of zoning regulations, property criteria, and market data
  • Work closely with the internal real estate development team to streamline processes, identify potential development challenges, and provide solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience navigating civil engineering, architecture, and construction requirements
  • Familiarity with basic site planning software (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD, Bluebeam)
