Summary
Join Skillsoft as an SMB Account Manager and contribute to the company's mission of transforming learning. You will be responsible for managing and expanding existing private sector accounts, generating new acquisition accounts, and selling Skillsoft's comprehensive portfolio of T&D solutions to companies with up to 2,500 employees. This role involves driving revenue growth, exceeding sales goals, and representing Skillsoft's solutions with key competitive differentiators. You will work closely with the SMB and Enterprise private sector sales team, partner with other Account Executives, and develop a thorough understanding of Skillsoft's sales plays related to Digital and Business transformation.
Requirements
- 3+ years successful sales experience in lT sales in a growth, acquisition or hybrid capacity with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education/experience
- Recent achievement of annual targets / KPI's
- Proficient in Salesforce and MS Office Suite
- Experience selling directly into lT Departments, Learning & Development and HR
- A keen understanding of the steps involved in sales cycles and ability to leverage each stage to advance the sale
- Ability to prospect and manage a designated territory to maximize revenue growth
- Be self-driven with the and ability to operate with a sense of urgency, be aggressive, competitive, and demonstrate a positive, winning attitude
- Negotiate effectively based on value and time to close
- Ability to understand client requirements and to clearly articulate the company's offerings to develop solutions to meet those requirements
Responsibilities
- Drive top-line revenue growth through expansion into your existing customer base and acquisition of new customers across our comprehensive portfolio of T&D solutions across your territory
- Sell our vast T&D solutions line directly to SMB L&D, HR and lT Departments
- Work alongside the entire SMB and Enterprise private sector sales team
- Own responsibility to meet and exceed revenue & sales goals
- Represent a solution line with key competitive differentiators
- Responsible for influencing customers and prospects across L&D, HR and lT departments across all seniority levels of stakeholders
- Establish strategic plans and objectives to drive desired business growth and outcomes
- Partner with other Account Executives, SME's and various other pre and post-sales support resources in the successful advancement of critical opportunities and customer penetration
- Develop a thorough understanding of Global Knowledge Skillsoft's sales plays related to Digital and Business transformation
- Follow established processes and provide constructive feedback on processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Located in Midwest or West Coast USA preferred)
- 2 years of B2B sales experience within the lT or training industry preferred
- A passion for technology and for supporting customers to achieve their business objectives
- Experience with growth of existing customers and Acquisition of new customers sales experience preferred
- Exhibits strong prospecting skills, growth and hunter mentality with the ability to cultivate prospects
- Agility and ability to easily handle objections and rejections and adaptability, and able to focus on what matters to the customer
Benefits
- Target hourly rate for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $21 - $27 hourly with average on target earnings including commissions of approximately $77,600 - $96,500 annually
