Join ImageX as an Associate Accountant for a 6-month fixed-term position (with potential extension) in a remote-first environment. Requirements
- 2-3 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, preferably in a service-based or agency environment
- 2+ years using Xero as your main accounting software
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) workflows
- Experience with month-end close and general accounting principles
- Comfortable working with financial tools like Dext, Xero, ADP Payroll and Float
- Familiarity with creating ACH and Wire payments for global contractors and vendors
- Passion for spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel), with strong attention to detail and data structure
- A root cause analysis mindset β you donβt just spot discrepancies, you investigate and resolve them with little support
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and a proactive mindset
- Excellent communication skills β youβre able to follow up professionally and clarify issues when needed
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping in Xero: transaction coding, reconciliations, and chart of accounts maintenance
- Execute month-end close procedures including accruals, prepaids, and AR/AP reconciliation
- Manage AP: process vendor and contractor invoices, reimburse employee expenses, and pay via an online banking platform
- Manage AR: onboard new clients, issue invoices, follow up on overdue accounts, and lead internal AR meetings
- Track billable hours and project invoicing via Harvest and Google Sheets and prepare monthly invoicing
- Coordinate and manage our Finance Tech stack including Xero, Dext, Float, and ADP to ensure seamless financial operations
- Assist with payroll inputs, employee onboarding/offboarding, and year-end T4 support
- Support the finance team in maintaining up-to-date trackers, budgets vs actuals, and vendor documentation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a service-based business environment is a strong asset, especially if you're familiar with the rhythm of client billing, contractor payments, and project-based invoicing

- Base Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000 annual salary (pro-rated for 6 month fixed term)
