Summary

The job is for an Associate Attorney with 3-8 years of experience in patent litigation, working remotely in the United States for a boutique law firm specializing in representing life sciences companies. The ideal candidate has a background in chemistry or chemical engineering and experience in Hatch-Waxman litigation.

Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience as a patent litigator
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry (or related field)

Responsibilities

• An integrated member of patent litigation teams, collaborating with Partners
• Working with team to handle patent litigation cases in federal court
• Knowledge of Hatch-Waxman litigation
• Manage and assist in all aspects of patent litigation cases, including legal research; drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; taking and defending depositions; arguing discovery disputes; and participating in trial preparation
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on various patent law issues, including patent validity, infringement, and other related matters

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Hatch-Waxman litigation preferred
• Admitted to a US state bar
• Worked for an AmLaw 200 firm
