The role involves researching legal theories, drafting documents, and assisting in all aspects of discovery. Applicants must have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, be admitted to a state bar (preferably California or Florida), and have 1.5 to 3 years of experience at an AmLaw 200 Firm.
Requirements
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to a state bar; bonus if California or Florida
- 1.5 to 3 years of experience at an AmLaw 200 Firm
Responsibilities
- Researching potential legal theories and arguments
- Drafting complaints, motions, briefs, and other documents
- Assisting in all aspects of discovery from drafting requests to document collection and production to deposition preparation and support
- Communicating (verbally and in writing) with clients and opposing counsel
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience with discovery (drafting or responding to requests, document collection and review)
- Preferable if some experience in representing plaintiffs
