Join Oscar's Communications team as an Associate Director, Business Communications! You'll develop and execute market-level communications plans, partnering with Market Leaders and other teams. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 7+ years of experience in communications, and experience managing multiple projects. Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities
- Experience managing multiple, complex projects at once and working in a deadline sensitive environment for executives
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive market-level strategies that align to Oscarโs strategic growth plan and the Market Leaders growth priorities
- Assist with the development of executive thought leadership platforms, including presentation, event, networking, written, and social media opportunities, to show the innovative perspectives of our Oscar Insurance and Market Leaders
- Build and maintain relationships with key organizations in the market to position Oscar for speaking, sponsorships and other awareness-driving opportunities
- Partner with the Oscar media team to develop market-level communications strategies across earned and owned media
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, public relations, investor relations, government affairs, and executive leadership, to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment of market-level communications
- Evaluate the efficacy of in-market communications strategies by tracking key engagement metrics and KPIs, in partnership with the Media team
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Agency, in-house, healthcare โ with an understanding of payor, provider, patient, and B2B services marketplace dynamics (or other regulated industry) โ public affairs or state/local policy experience is a plus
- Public company experience preferred
