Summary

As an Associate Director of Regional Accounts (ADRA), you will be responsible for ensuring broad access to Ultragenyx products across regional commercial and government accounts. This field-based role requires extensive experience in US payer reimbursement and the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. You will present product value propositions, identify and solve access/reimbursement issues, collaborate with internal teams, and build strong relationships with key accounts. Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in US payer reimbursement and/or coverage policy and eight years of experience in the pharma / biotech industry
- Minimum B.S. degree preferably in one of the following areas: Science Communications, Healthcare Management, Marketing, Nursing, or Pharmacy
- Comprehensive knowledge of US healthcare reimbursement system in both commercial and government payers
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Excellent clinical, financial, and analytical skills and acumen
- Must be willing to travel >50%
Responsibilities
- Ensure broad coverage for Ultragenyx products within assigned area
- Present compelling clinical and economic value proposition and related data on Ultragenyx products to managed care
- Effective in identifying access/reimbursement issues, assessing, and enacting effective solutions across assigned accounts
- Maintain understanding of current reimbursement trends and policies and impact on access and reimbursement
- Collaborate with commercial field team, medical affairs, patient services to resolve reimbursement issues that may be barriers to drug access
- Assist in field training with support of leadership as needed
- Build and maintain effective business relationships across assigned accounts (c-suite, clinical management, pharmacy management, medical management, case management)
- Attending and representing Ultragenyx at managed care conferences and trade shows as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Degrees β Science and MBA/MHA or other graduate level program preferred
- Launch experience in the rare disease strongly preferred
