Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in medical industry, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
- Demonstrated expertise in field inventory, asset control, and surgical kit logistics
- Experience working in FDA/GMP-compliant environments and with ERP and inventory tracking systems (e.g., QAD, Oracle, and/or SAP)
- Proven success building and developing high-performing teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Lead all order fulfillment processes across commercial, clinical, and consignment channels
- Ensure timely shipment and return of surgical kits, instruments, and implants with a focus on accuracy, traceability, and compliance
- Oversee global assignment, tracking, and retrieval (when necessary) of company-owned surgical assets and capital instruments
- Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain asset visibility and minimize write-offs or losses
- Drive end-to-end loaner program performance including planning, kitting, delivery, returns, refurbishment, and availability ensuring field readiness and procedural support across all territories
- Manage fulfillment and control of loose implant requests and other non-kitted inventory, maintaining tight inventory accuracy and approval workflows
- Own the monthly review of field utilization data to validate billing accuracy, ensure timely reconciliation, and drive alignment between operations, sales, and finance
- Support operational budget development and adherence
- Monitor performance metrics, fulfillment SLAs, and inventory turns to drive continuous improvement and cost-efficiency
- Build, coach, and retain a high-performing asset management team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence in service delivery
- Own core fulfillment processes and related SOPs
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce cycle time, and improve internal controls through Lean or Six Sigma practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of the surgical loaner model and its impact on commercial performance
- Ability to drive alignment across all cross-functional teams including but not limited to: Operations, Sales, Finance, Product, Marketing, Quality, Engineering, and Clinical teams
- Hands-on leadership style, with a bias for action and process ownership
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in high-growth, fast-paced environments
- Ability to travel up to 15%
