Requirements
- You've got at least 1-2 years under your belt at a fund management or administration company, with solid experience in NAV calculations, tax, and audit prep
- You're also a pro at managing orders, distributions, and capital calls
- You have been through a full fund accounting cycle, including executing on trades, positions, bank reconciliations, an audit and posting journal entries
- You're organized, detail-oriented, and not afraid to tackle large datasets under tight deadlines
- You're passionate about the fintech and alternative investment space, always curious to dig into day-to-day issues and find smart solutions
Responsibilities
- Ensure our Net Asset Value (NAV) is rock-solid, diving deep into expenses, P&L, and all things reconciliation to safeguard our fund's integrity
- Master the flow of all capital activity for our alternative funds, from new investments to withdrawals, ensuring everything runs with precision
- Provide clear, concise answers to client inquiries and whip up ad-hoc reports that shed light on their investments, helping them understand their portfolios better
- Collaborate closely with our diverse teams across Wealthsimple, acting as a vital link to flag any hiccups and keep our client data pristine
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Excel skills are a must, and if you've got a handle on programming (especially SQL) or industry courses (CPA, CFA, etc.) under your belt, that's a huge bonus
- Even better, you've got a knack for project management and love finding ways to make processes smoother
