Associate Software Development Engineer

Summary

ARETUM is seeking an Associate Software Development Engineer to work on challenging projects in software development for federal clients. As an Associate Software Development Engineer at ARETUM, you will have hands-on experience in full-stack development, including both back-end and front-end development, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring UI meets Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Success Criteria at AA level.

Requirements

• Experienced PHP, JavaScript, and CSS developer who understands application design, development, testing, deployment, and operations in WordPress environment
• Ability and experience in creating applications from scratch and provide support to the existing systems as needed
• Proven experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining large multi-tiered applications preferably in the federal government setting
• Ensure UI meets Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Success Criteria at AA level
• U.S. Citizen
• Active Secret clearance preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance at a minimum
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Software Development (PHP and WordPress required)
• Minimum three (3) years of experience using web-based technologies (PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3)
• Ability to work with limited guidance in a remote team environment
• Knowledge and understanding of Section 508/WCAG 2.X compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Full-Stack Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins
• Code and design working solutions and troubleshoot system issues
• Analysis, design, build, and implementation of end-to-end solution delivery
