Associate Insurance Product Manager

Summary

Join Lemonade’s growing team as an Associate Insurance Product Manager and contribute to the development of car insurance offerings. Collaborate with actuarial and underwriting experts to ensure profitable growth, crafting a user-friendly insurance experience. Drive the product roadmap, monitor progress, and measure the impact of product changes. Partner with various teams to facilitate regulatory approvals and implement new features. Research market trends and competitor actions to inform strategic decisions. Manage ongoing product performance and maintain optimal results. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis, and excellent communication abilities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of P&C experience, with 2+ years of relevant personal lines experience —car insurance, strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience in product management
• Adept at working with and completing analysis on large data sets
• Collaborative spirit and top-notch communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Insurance, or a related field
• Analytical, with a knack for identifying trends, communicating results, and taking action
• Strong technical skills with Excel and SQL, including building reports and dashboards

Responsibilities

• Partner with actuarial and underwriting experts to work on the development of coverage, pricing levels, and eligibility requirements
• Collaborate with the Insurance Operations team to facilitate regulatory approval for new features—such as rate changes or product enhancements—and work closely with the Product team to implement them
• Research market trends and competitor actions and make relevant recommendations to profitably grow the car business
• Gather product specification documents to identify project requirements
• Measure the impact of product changes, and ensure the implementation matches what was planned
• Manage ongoing product performance, monitoring results and performing maintenance

Benefits

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000-107,500 + equity + benefits
