Summary

Join Intersect Power as an Associate Project Manager and contribute to our mission of preserving the planet through low-carbon energy solutions. This role involves supporting the construction project management team, assisting cross-functional partners, and working on multiple projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for budget review and reporting, schedule monitoring, contract tracking, and managing the quality and commissioning process. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented, proactive multitasker comfortable in a deadline-driven environment. Intersect Power offers a fully flexible workplace, with team gatherings four times a year and hub locations across North America. We are seeking candidates located within 60 miles of one of our hubs to foster in-person connections while maintaining our flexible remote culture. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in solar or wind construction with a focus on project management, budget ownership, invoice tracking, and schedule monitoring
  • Worked for a project manager or equivalent on at least 2 solar or wind projects from start of construction to substantial completion
  • Advance knowledge of Excel, Google suite, Microsoft suite, Slack, Bluebeam and other collaboration tools
  • High attention to detail and standards for work products
  • Able to translate complex findings into powerpoint presentations
  • Has spent time working at project sites

Responsibilities

  • Weekly and monthly budget review and reporting including: forecast cash flows, invoice review, lien waiver review, actuals, accruals, forecasts
  • Review and monitor schedules from different parties to ensure they are fully aligned and track contractor milestones, updates or changes to the schedule
  • Read and understand construction and consulting contracts. Track owner, contractor, and 3rd party deliverables in the EPC contracts and land contracts
  • Develop project trackers to manage the quality and commissioning process
  • Track delivery of owner supplied materials and ensure that the milestone payments and contractual notices are completed
  • Assist project finance team in compiling monthly documentation such as lien waivers, invoices, subordination agreements, estoppels, warranties and supporting documentation
  • Review PODs, weekly and monthly reports from the contractor and propose edits/corrections to the project manager and use these reports to generate monthly external progress reports with data on schedule and budget, coordinating across departments (project finance, development, legal)
  • Liaise with the owner's engineer, manage the deliverables per the project schedule
  • Review invoices weekly with the project manager and approve or reject, verify classifications are correct. Communicate with vendors on corrections needed
  • Review and manage EPC engineering documents (IFP, IFC, RFI, submittals, transmittals, as builts) and ensure they are answered or cleared in a timely manner
