Summary

Broadvoice is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer with a focus on automation for their Site Reliability Engineering team. The role involves developing and managing infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, championing automation, designing proactive monitoring strategies, leading incident response efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing mentorship to junior SRE team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a systems administrator/systems engineer with a strong focus on SRE practices
• Deep expertise in automation with Ansible and infrastructure management with Terraform
• Solid understanding of AWS cloud services and Linux operating systems
• Experience with scripting languages (such as Python, Bash, etc.) for automation
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

• Develop, scale, and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible
• Champion automation across the organization, eliminating manual operations and toil wherever possible
• Design and implement proactive monitoring and alerting strategies to anticipate and address issues before they impact our customers
• Lead incident response efforts, and contribute to post-mortem analysis and process refinement to prevent future outages
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for service rollout and management
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior SRE team members in best practices in systems administration and automation
