Summary

The job is for a software engineer in the Ronin Protocol Development team at Sky Mavis, working on improving the scalability, security, and decentralization of Ronin. The team is committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive work culture and embracing technological advancement.

Requirements

• At least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering/ Information Technology, or experience in related fields
• At least 1 years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• Stack code development capabilities and considerable experience with Golang, and Python
• Experience with a cloud provider and key technologies (e.g., GCP, Kubernetes, containers), Postgres (or similar data storage layer), Tooling (Github)

Responsibilities

• Understand emerging technologies that may benefit our team and others
• Work on the services we have ownership over (e.g., cleanup tech debt, maintenance, new architecture patterns)
• Work across a range of bleeding-edge technologies: Go, GCP, PostgreSQL, Microservices, Event Oriented Systems, and Ronin Core Services
• Develop Ronin core protocol from the design stage all the way to production-ready implementations
• Study the source code (of Ronin and other EVM chains), propose and implement improvements
• Design, build, maintain, test, and improve Ronin consensus and coordinating services to power our networks
• Improve the design of peer’s architecture through thoughtful, professionally communicated feedback
• Contribute to open-source projects and play a role in building out the crypto ecosystem at large

Preferred Qualifications

• The ability to work comfortably across a range of technologies
• Effective communication skills, with empathy, allowing you to communicate across a range of stakeholders
• Start-up and scale-up experience would be advantageous
• An interest or keenness to upskill in the Web3 space
