Summary

Limble is hiring a Backend Engineer III to help scale their backend codebase and improve the responsiveness and scalability of their systems. The engineer will be responsible for designing and building performant APIs, coordinating with other teams on technical issues, and contributing to team productivity through code reviews and mentoring. Requirements include 7+ years of experience building performant APIs, a passion for writing excellent code, expertise in database management systems and SQL queries, self-starter qualities, strong communication skills, and openness to on-call rotation. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience scaling APIs and proficiency in Nodejs/PHP/GoLang. Benefits include a salary range of $130,000 - $190,000 depending on experience, stock options, a fully remote role, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, flexible PTO, 401k with company match, HSA with company match, and opportunities to grow with the company.

Requirements

• 7+ years of building performant APIs
• Passion for writing excellent code
• Expertise in database management systems, architecture, and SQL queries
• Self-starter with a high degree of motivation; ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Strong track record of building, optimizing and scaling web APIs based on feedback from customers and internal teams
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
• Open to on-call rotation

Responsibilities

• Design and build performant, reliable, extendable, scalable systems
• Own the full life cycle of API service development
• Coordinate with other teams on cross-cutting technical issues and provide technical advice
• Contribute to improving team productivity through code reviews, documentation, technical guidance, and mentoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scaling APIs
• Nodejs/PHP/GoLang experience
