Backend Software Developer

Requirements

• Experience building, supporting and maintaining APIs
• Solid understanding of API design principles and patterns
• Experience working with provided microservices
• Ability to leverage math skills to develop, test, and refine code for statistical modeling and analysis
• Proven backend development skills in Go
• Comfortable with Python
• Experience developing applications on cloud platforms, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (we use GCP)
• Working knowledge of data models and technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Cloud PubSub
• Familiarity with current testing methodologies, such as unit, integration, end to end, and service tests
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of new integrations delivered to Syndio customers and partners
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of APIs that seamlessly connect to other platforms
• Assist team members writing and testing code for math models and statistical analysis
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to solve technical challenges
• Implement pragmatic, scalable and maintainable integration solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Front-end experience with a modern framework
• Minor in Mathematics or Physics (or an interest in applied mathematics)
