Backup Engineer

Summary

Join Nagarro, a global digital product engineering company, as a Backup System Engineer. Analyze, optimize, and develop our backup infrastructure and virtualization environments. Contribute to the development of our highly available backup infrastructure landscape and design IT landscapes and IT processes. Participate in projects involving data center migration, virtualization, automation, and cloud computing. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to existing customers and advise on technical problems. This role requires professional system engineer experience and specific knowledge of backup solutions.

Requirements

• Speak fluent German (B2) and good English (B1)
• Professional experience as a system engineer
• Knowledge in the following topics: DELL/EMC Power Protect, DELL/EMC-Networker, DELL/EMC Data-Domain, DELL/EMC Elastic Cloud Storage, Backup-to-tape, Veeam or similar Backup Solutions in Hybrid-Cloud Scenarios
• Solution/process-oriented and analytical mindset
• Strong methodological skills
• Distinct customer orientation and the ability to work in a team as well as a convincing appearance

Responsibilities

• Analyze, optimize and development of our Backup-Infrastructure and virtualization environments
• Further development of our highly available Backup-Infrastructure landscape and design IT landscapes and IT processes
• Involved in the following project topics: Data center migration, virtualization, automation and cloud computing
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support in infrastructure for our existing customers and advise their departments on technical problems
