Banking Operations Intern

Summary

Join Varo, a digital bank, as a Banking Operations Intern for a paid part-time internship. You will support the team by processing payment transactions, researching exceptions, validating journal entries, and utilizing financial tools. The internship is flexible, approximately 20 hours per week, for 2-3 months. You will gain hands-on experience in banking operations and the financial ecosystem. The position requires a bachelor's degree in progress with an interest in finance and accounting, strong analytical and organizational skills, proficiency in Google Suite, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. Compensation is $18-$20 per hour.

Requirements

• Recently graduated or currently enrolled in college, progressing towards a Bachelor’s degree with an interest in Finance and Accounting
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced remote environment

Responsibilities

• As an Operations intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring transactions process correctly
• Researching exceptions that occur, and identifying the appropriate resolution
• Validating and inputting critical journal entries for the Operations team
• Learn to utilize various Financial and Operational tools
• Maintain clear and open communication with teammates, management, and internal partners
