Behavior Technician

Summary

The job is for a Behavior Technician at Forta, who will support children with ASD and other developmental disabilities by implementing behavior intervention plans and contributing to their progress. The role requires working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and adhering to ethical standards.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred
• No prior experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is necessary
• Passion for working with children and an enthusiasm for learning how to best serve neurodiverse families
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary clearances as required by state regulations

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans as outlined by the BCBA
• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients in their homes
• Collect and record accurate data on client progress and behavior
• Assist in the development of skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, academic, and daily living skills
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills in ABA
